Belthangady: IM Nitin S of Southern Railways won the Roto lawyers cup International FIDE Rated Chess Tournament 2015 jointly organized by Bar Association Belthangady and Rotary Club Belthangady held at Sri Dharmasthala Majunatheswara Kala Bhavana, Belthangady which concluded today.
IM Nitin scored eight points out of nine rounds and won the 1st place. In the final round he played with Amey Audi of Goa on third board.
GM Sriram Jha of LIC, GM Deepan Chakkravarthy of ICF, IM Rathnakaran of southern Railways, Kunal M of Tamilnadu and IM Ravi Hegde of Karnataka scored seven points and five points each and were placed 2nd to 6th place respectively.
IM Ratnakaran K of Southern Railways and GM Deepan Chakkravarthy drew their game on top board. GM Sriram Jha and Kunal played on second board and drew thw game.

S L, Secretary, Bar Association, Rathnavarma Bunnu, Chief Co-ordinator of the event were on the dais and distributed the prizes.
